Beginner Bird Watcher’s Bundle
For the window feeder, I recommend Nature’s Hangout Window Bird Feeder. Why? Because it is what I use. This window bird feeder is durable, has strong suction cups, it’s weather proof, lightweight, it has drainage holes in the bottom to keep moisture to a minimum and most importantly, it’s easy to clean! It also comes with extra suction cups.
The GrayBunny Clear Window Bird Feeder is a similar product that is cheaper than the window feeder that I recommended (I have not used it), but it looks so similar, so why not try it?
Alternatively, here is a link to many different types of window feeders that you can choose from.
Window bird feeders and window bird houses are a lot of fun. These types of bird houses can offer you an up close and person look at the nesting process from the comfort of your own home.
The Clear View Window Bird House is an excellent choice for getting these closer looks. It’s easy to clean, and highly rated by buyers.
- Lifetime warranty.
- Easy to clean.
- Unique viewing opportunities.
Be sure to adhere the suction cups to a clean window. Use windex, or rubbing alcohol to clean the surface. If you have issues with suction, try putting the tiniest amount of cooking oil on center part of the suction cups.
As with any window or reflective surface, be sure to treat your windows to prevent bird strikes.

“The Nikon 7548 Monarch 7 8×42 Binoculars are all terrain, waterproof, fog-proof and have extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements to enhance brightness and color. Nikon’s All-Terrain Binocular (ATB) series delivers impressive image quality and ergonomics at an affordable cost, making it a favorite among naturalists and hobbyists! The Monarch 7 8×42 provides an exceptionally wide field of view that makes it easy to find your subject. Dielectric high-reflective multi-layer prism coatings are applied to all lenses. Prism coatings provide high-contrast images and accurate color reproduction. The durable rubber armored coating and weather-proof housing makes these binoculars comfortable to hold and rugged enough to stand up to any conditions.”

“Leaf Medley Multi pack of 5 leaf decals. One Elm, Oak, Maple and 2 Aspen leaves included. Window Alert decals help prevent wild birds from accidentally striking windows. Each decal has a special coating that reflects ultraviolet sunlight. This ultraviolet light is invisible to humans, but birds see it as a brilliant glow much like a stoplight.”
(Note: these only truly work if you space them 2 inches apart and cover the entire window. Because of this, I strongly recommend purchasing several packets. They are hardly visible to humans, but can help prevent birds from striking your windows.)
